Soundtrack to the Islands

One unknown gem about Hawaii is the unique genre of music that you can't find in many other places: Jawaiian Music. If you want to hear some modern local tunes, ditch the Jimmy Buffet and get on board with artists like Common Kings, Anuhea and J Boog. Jawaiian is super catchy - part reggae, a little poppy, some hip hop, but all about the islands.

Having a great playlist completes the experience when you're driving around, taking in the ocean and mountain views, smelling the plumeria and snacking on a musubi. Check out some of our favorites which you can download here on Spotify. Even if you're on the mainland, we hope it transports you back to paradise.

If you are lucky enough to be in Hawaii, be sure to tune into the local radio stations like 93.1 Da Pa'ina and Island 98.5 on Oahu. And if you are there at the right time, check out some of the music festivals such as the upcoming MayJah RayJah in Waikiki the weekend of July 30th.

Aloha!
